Flinders University this week opened the Flinders’ New Venture Institute, to “give a distinctive focus to its investment in the Tonsley Park redevelopment”.

BankSA will cut its standard variable home loan rate by 0.25% to 6.22% per annum, effective from 20 May, passing on the full Reserve Bank cash rate cut to borrowers.

BankSA MD, Jane Kittel says the reduction in interest rates is further good news for home loan borrowers and a positive for the local economy.

The bank also has a special offer in place until June 30, 2013 where it will beat any home loan rate advertised by the four major banks on fixed or variable rates.

Adelaide’s Cellar Door Wine Festival, created and hosted by the Adelaide Convention Centre, has scooped another national award after being named Public Event of the Year by Meetings and Events Australia.

Sticky Rice Cooking School has opened three new Asian-themed luxury villas in a unique food and accommodation venture in the Adelaide Hills.

Owners Claire and Mark Fuller undertook the project with the support of a $110,000 grant under the Federal Government’s T-QUAL – Tourism Quality Projects program.
