SA-based biotech Calpain Therapeutics Pty Ltd has won a $190,250 Proof of Concept grant from Commercialisation Australia.
As an alternative to eye surgery, Calpain is developing the first pharmaceutical treatment for cataracts.
Commercialisation Australia funding will help Calpain demonstrate the treatment is ready for clinical trials with a potential commercial partner.
