SA-based firm, Australian Medical Placements and SA-based software developer, Axios have been working together to create a more efficient workforce management model for the healthcare industry.
“Australian Medical Placements has a unique business model that encompasses a wide variety of medical specialties,” says MD, Jodie Dyster.
“AMP’s commitment to certification means keeping on top of each Doctor’s paperwork, employment status, rosters, safe working hours, etc, which can be logistically difficult and extremely time consuming.
“AMP approached Axios to develop a purpose built software system in order to align our business model with certification requirements, as well as seeking functionality to allow our clients (hospitals and practices) to post their vacancies directly on the system 24 hours a day. This results in quicker vacancy turnaround times and a simpler, easy-to-use system.”
Axios MD, Matt Larwood says by working closely with the team at AMP for several years Axios has come to understand the business “almost as well as they do”.
“We consistently find that having this type of relationship - where we aren’t considered just as a supplier but more as a strategic partner - provides the best opportunity for us to add value to our customers’ business. We think this is certainly the case with AMP,” Mark says.
The system, which is near completion, has been embraced by the users in the wider health community and by the staff of AMP and is considered a benchmark in the industry.
“The innovation and usability of the software ensures full compliance with all requirements of our procedures and policies and our doctors are impressed by the extra functionality and ease of use,” Jodie says.
