Mt Barker-based DVE Business Solutions is one of six finalists in the Telstra Australian Business Awards in the MYOB Small Business Category.

Winners will be announced at a special Gala Dinner on 20 July.

In three years DVE has won awards including a Finalist position in the 2011 Telstra Business Awards 2011 Micro Business category. This year DVE has moved up a category due to growth.

Recently, DVE received a Third Place in the Commonwealth Bank’s Better Business Booster Competition, and Director, Jo Schneider was a runner up in the Behind Closed Doors Entrepreneurial Scholarship.

DVE Business Solutions specialises in Information Management and Process Improvement; tailoring sustainable solutions to improve business processes via customised database development, systems and workflow, integrated websites, project management, business process improvement, advanced excel "Quick Tool" solutions, mobile App development and more.

Directors of DVE Business Solutions are a mother and daughter team: Dianne van Eck created the company in 2007 while her daughter Jo Schneider, a qualified engineer who previously held a Senior Manufacturing Engineering role with GM Holden, came on board in 2008.

“Our involvement and finalist position in last year’s event influenced our strategic planning, development and growth over these last 12 months and we look forward to the opportunities our involvement will bring this year,” says Jo Schneider.
