Adelaide-based commercial law firm Kelly & Co has strengthened its team with the appointment of Martin Lovell as a Partner in its Banking & Finance and Projects team, and Danny Nemer as a Special Counsel in its Property, Infrastructure and Construction team.

Banking and finance expert, Martin Lovell has experience acting for banks, sponsors and borrowers on project finance, property finance, general corporate finance transactions and energy and infrastructure projects.

His recent landmark transactions include ATCO's recent $1bn acquisition of WA Gas Networks, Brookfield Rail's US$882m project and corporate financing and SEA Gas's $403m club refinancing of the high pressure natural gas transmission pipeline from Victoria to Adelaide.

During his time in the UK Martin acted on several other high profile deals including the £17.5bn joint venture London Crossrail infrastructure project.

He has worked with the 'magic circle' firm Linklaters in London, Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Melbourne, and most recently with Johnson Winter & Slattery. He also lectures on Banking & Finance Law and Property, Equity and Trusts at Flinders University.

International property law specialist, Danny Nemer has advised on some of the largest residential and commercial developments in the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Australia including Capital District, the Iskander Malaysia project and Melbourne Airport.

He spent four and a half years working in Abu Dhabi and prior to that he worked at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Melbourne.
