SA-based firm, DVE Business Solutions is one of five finalists in the Commonwealth Bank’s national Better Business Booster competition.
The competition aims to support and encourage SMEs across Australia and winners are chosen by the Australian public, through the CBA’s www.betterbusinessbooster.com.au website.
DVE is calling on the SA business community for the voter support needed to win the national title.
“It only takes a few minutes, voters just click on “Like” and follow the prompts through the Facebook connections,” DVE says.
“Everyone who votes goes into another draw and could WIN $10,000 just for voting, so by voting for DVE Business Solutions voters aren’t just supporting the South Australian and Northern Territorial local business communities, they could win $10K for themselves.”
DVE Business Solutions delivers Information Management and Process Improvement, tailoring sustainable solutions to improve business processes using customised database development, systems and workflow, integrated websites, project management, business process improvement, advanced excel Quick Tool solutions, mobile App development and more.
DVE is run by a mother and daughter team. Dianne van Eck created the company in 2007. Her daughter, Jo Schneider, an engineer who previously held a Senior Manufacturing Engineering role with GM Holden, came on board in 2008 and the company has progressed in leaps and bounds ever since.
They are totally self-funded: their mantra “make IT happen” resounds across the office and on the minds of current clients in the education, health and not for profit sectors.
In just three years they have won many awards including, a Finalist in the Telstra Business Awards 2011 Micro Business category; a finalist in the 2012 Telstra Business Awards MYOB Small Business category to be announced in July and Director, Jo Schneider’s Runner UP award in the “Behind Closed Doors” Entrepreneurial Scholarship.
“We’re currently in a technological revolution with an expected five times growth in data over the next five to ten years and we’re looking forward to working with clients to create value out of the chaos of their information to come,” Jo says.
“Winning the CBA BetterBusinessBooster competition would enable us to gain valuable professional insight and improve our own business, which will subsequently improve the services we can offer to clients.
“The future is bigger than we ever imagined and we would greatly appreciate mentoring from someone who has experienced what we are going through.
