McLaren Vale wineries, and major sponsor BankSA, are celebrating the best ever BankSA Sea & Vines Festival as kind weather drew crowds of more than 16,000 to the region last weekend.

According to many wineries Monday crowds, where no bookings were required, were bigger than last year due to the perfect weather conditions and more local attendance.

Experience Sunday events were again fully booked prior to the long weekend, with some venues being booked out within hours of tickets going on sale.

“We were pleased to see more wineries get involved this year which meant the festival had more tickets available. The fact that many of the venues sold so quickly gives us a strong indication of people’s responsiveness to booking in advance for the Sunday events and it shows the potential for more McLaren Vale wineries to participate in next year’s festival,” says MVGWTA Marketing Officer, Stacey Richardson.
