Participants in the current BSA Energy Efficiency Program are saving 24.1% on energy costs, according to Innovate SA.
Applications for Round 4 of the SA Government program close Tuesday 31 January.
To date, manufacturing companies involved in the BSA Energy Efficiency Program have identified energy efficiency savings of 24.1% and potential first-year cost savings of about $85,000 per company.
The Program enables a company to engage an accredited energy auditor, associated with the Program, to conduct an energy assessment of their SA operation.
Each participating company will be supported in obtaining a detailed energy audit report with:
• An energy and greenhouse gas emissions profile including the identification of carbon risk and liabilities in line with the relevant reporting standards
• Advice on capturing and analysing performance data from energy systems, before and after improvement measure are undertaken
• Identification of energy efficiency opportunities within the company's operations
• Cost-benefit analysis of identified improvements
• A strategic action plan to implement recommended improvements.
Successful applicants to the program can receive 75% of the costs of their energy assessments, up to $10,000 (excluding GST.) Companies wishing to participate in the BSA Energy Efficiency Program must complete the application form and respond to all the specified criteria.
