Prescott Securities has named Andrew Sterzl as the firm’s new General Manager as the firm readies to expand by acquisition.

Andrew, 33, has worked for the South Australian-based financial advisory and stockbroking firm for more than 12 years. He has worked primarily in SA during his career and has resisted offers from the eastern states due to his passion for SA and its lifestyle.

He has a Masters of Business Administration, is an active member of the Australian Institute of Management and has been Operations Manager at Prescott Securities for the past six years.

“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to contribute to the future growth strategy of Prescott Securities,” Andrew says.

“Prescott Securities has a culture of investing in and developing its people, I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to continue to develop this culture and enhance the outstanding service we already provide our client base.

“This is shaping up to be an exciting time for Prescott Securities and all our clients.”

The appointment follows the appointment in October 2011 of John Nantes, the firm’s new CEO. The appointments come as Prescott Securities embarks on the next stage of its national growth strategy.

“Prescott Securities has an outstanding reputation both within the industry and among the investment community,” says John.

“Andrew has shown a high level of commitment and is very passionate about PSL and where it is headed. This announcement ensures Andrew is fully empowered to execute our strategies and to help me drive success for the whole business.

“Over the coming years I will be working closely with Andrew to help steer significant expansion in SA and interstate both organically and by way of acquisition.”

Prescott Securities, founded in 1987, now has more than 85 staff, including 23 financial advisers, and funds under advice of $1.5 billion.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of WHK Group, it has offices in Adelaide, Melbourne and the Gold Coast with representation in Alice Springs, Darwin, Tasmania and regional SA.
