RiAus has welcomed Bradley Abraham to the new role of General Manager, following the departure of founding COO of RiAus, Damian Scanlon.
Bradley brings extensive experience working with a range of organisations in the not-for-profit sector. His career started with CPA Australia in the area of small business policy, before he was appointed GM of Swimming SA in 1997 in the lead up to the Sydney Olympics.
Approached to take over the SPARC Disability Foundation in 2000, he successfully managed that organisation for four years.
This was followed by a two-year stint as State Operations Manager for Scouts Australia before taking on the role of Director Membership & Marketing at the Australian Institute of Management SA.
Before joining RiAus in the newly created GM role, Bradley spent time in the corporate sector as the National Marketing & Business Development Manager for Prescott Securities.
A Board Member of the West Adelaide Football Club, and mentor to marketing specialists in two different not-for-profits, Bradley has a firm belief in professionals giving back to their community.
“I am thrilled to be working for such an amazing organisation as RiAus, which is an Australian leader in promoting public awareness and understanding of science,” he says.
“In a world dependent on science, I see the role as pivotal in being able to share new discoveries with people whose lives are affected by science on a daily basis.
“This role gives me a rare opportunity in my career - to make a difference - and it is a challenge that I will relish.”
