Internode has introduced a program to rent its FRITZ!Box broadband routers and accessories to customers and has also cut pricing across its range of FRITZ!Box equipment.
Internode customers can avoid upfront costs for the AVM FRITZ!Box 7270 and 7390 routers and FRITZ!Fon DECT handsets by paying a monthly rental fee with a 24-month contract.
Internode will rent customers the 7270 for $9.95 per month, the 7390 for $14.95 per month and the DECT handset for $4.95 per month.
For customers who prefer to purchase the equipment outright, Internode has cut $50 from the price of the two FRITZ!Box routers and $20 from the FRITZ!Fon handset.
The FRITZ!Box router incorporates an integrated ADSL2+ modem, high speed Wireless N access point, sophisticated VoIP and landline phone system with answering machine, DECT cordless phone base station, USB file & print server and more.
Internode product manager Philip Dempster says Internode has introduced the FRITZ!Box rental program to satisfy customer demand.
“Many customers prefer the affordability and convenience of renting their broadband hardware,” he says. “This has proved popular with the Set Top Box for Internode’s FetchTV IPTV service, so we’ve introduced it as an option for customers who prefer to rent FRITZ!Box routers and hardware.”
With the new FRITZ!Box pricing, the 7390 now costs $349, the 7270 costs $249 and the DECT handset costs $109. Internode has cut $10 from the price of its FRITZ!WLAN WiFi USB Stick to $79.
Internode has also cut FRITZ!Box bundle pricing by $50. The FRITZ!Box 7390 + FRITZ!Fon DECT handset now costs $449 while the FRITZ!Box 7270 + FRITZ!Fon DECT handset costs $349.
