After announcing the purchase of LA Advertising in December 2011, SA-based THEM Advertising & Digital is projecting the company’s biggest year on record.
MD, Mark Wightman says the purchase of LA Advertising and an influx of new business from the likes of Chase Crown, SAAFL, China Australia Developments and Government Skills Australia will most likely see THEM’s billings reach $18 million in the next financial year.
THEM and LA Advertising have a combined presence of over 50 years within the market, and a strong client base.
Among those joining THEM Advertising & Digital’s portfolio of more than 50 local and national clients are Thirsty Camel bottleshops in SA and NT, Climat Air Conditioning, Health Arts College Australia, Italia Ceramics, Innerware and Funk Coffee and Food.
When considering the best buyer for LA Advertising prior to his 2012 retirement, owner Philip Lowry found THEM Advertising & Digital to be the ‘right fit’.
“Their honed resources and personnel, plus the bonus of their dedicated digital department set the business apart from the rest,” Philip says.
“We pride ourselves on our streamlined and fully integrated approach,” Mark Wightman says. “We look forward to offering LA Advertising’s clients our services and working with them to achieve their advertising and marketing objectives.”
LA Advertising’s staff and resources are now operating under THEM Advertising & Digital at the agency’s Kent Town premises.
Last year THEM also acquired well-known creative service agency, Motown Media in a move which has seen the business strengthen its full service strategy and improve its production facilities.
“We are a one-stop shop for our clients,” Mark says. “All media buying, creative, TV, radio and digital production are done in-house.”
“Our staff are as diverse as our clients, from directors with over 30 years experience to young, fresh design talent who create mind-blowing creative.”
