Due to significant growth, Adelaide based medium-tier firm Wallmans Lawyers, has welcomed three new practitioners, including Special Counsel, Stephen Dickinson.
Stephen is a specialist litigation lawyer with significant expertise in providing dispute resolution advice in general commercial matters, professional negligence issues, regulatory matters, defamation, estate issues, partnership disputes, and inter/intra company disputes.
With a significant commercial practice, he acts for a range of corporate clients in disputes relating to trade practices and competition, breaches of contract, copyright, debt recovery and insolvency, retail and commercial leasing, franchise disputes and infrastructure issues. Stephen advises clients across a range of industries including building and construction, transport and marine, local government, insurance, finance and professional services.
Before joining Wallmans, he practiced at a specialised boutique litigation firm where he gained invaluable trial and court experience working closely with Senior Counsel.
Megan Taylor, Senior Associate, Medical, joins Wallmans Lawyers from Minter Ellison.
Megan is an experienced insurance litigation practitioner with expertise in health law, professional indemnity, public liability, recovery actions, risk management and general insurance. Megan works with health professionals to assist them with the defence of civil and criminal proceedings and advises on professional and disciplinary issues and coronial inquests.
With a solid background in health law, prior to her admission as lawyer, Megan practiced as a registered nurse and midwife in tertiary hospitals, aged care and community health.
Kate Henning joins the firm as an Associate in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution section with particular expertise in advising in the defence of public liability and professional indemnity claims.
With a significant insurance law background, Kate has solid expertise in acting for major insurance companies in the defence of claims regarding professional indemnity and disciplinary matters, public liability, personal injury and defamation.
Her experience extends across a range of industries including professional services, building and construction, property and real estate and finance. Additionally, Kate has experience in coronial inquests, class actions and recovery actions.
